● According to Clause 17.2.2 (5) of the Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Electrical Installations GB50303-2015, no more than two conductors or two conductor terminals shall be connected to each terminal of equipment or apparatus. This requirement for terminal wiring also applies to grounding terminals.
● Furthermore, in accordance with Clause 4.2.9 of the Code for Construction and Acceptance of Grounding Devices in Electrical Installation Engineering GB50169-2016, the grounding of electrical devices must be individually connected to the grounding busbar or grounding grid. It is strictly prohibited to connect two or more electrical devices requiring grounding in series through a single grounding conductor.
● Conclusion: Grounding is critically important in electrical systems, as it involves significant issues such as personal safety, normal system operation, and anti-interference performance in intelligent systems. Connecting multiple wires to a single grounding terminal inevitably reduces reliability and increases safety risks. Particularly, connecting multiple electrical devices requiring grounding in series through a single grounding terminal—if the terminal connection becomes loose, it could result in the failure of grounding for subsequent devices. Therefore, only one grounding conductor should be terminated per grounding point. The grounding terminal within equipment or apparatus should not accommodate more than two conductors to ensure effective grounding performance.
